OAIster is a union catalog of millions of records representing open access resources that was built by harvesting from open access collections worldwide using the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH). Open Dissertations is an open-access database that incorporates EBSCO’s previously released American Doctoral Dissertations, and features additional dissertation metadata contributed by select colleges and universities from around the world from the early 20th century to the present. Citations include a link to access the full text via the Institutional Repository where the thesis or dissertation is housed, when available.
